Anybody seen this show?
My husband and I LOVED Lost and were totally bummed when it ended. Especially because we were late jumping on the bandwagon and pretty much watched LOST and only LOST for 4 months straight and got though all 6 seasons without ever watching a show live (thank you TiVo; actually the only episode we watched live was the series finale). We went and watched the series finale at a friends house and as we were packing up to leave my husband jokingly mentioned "What are we gonna watch now that LOST is over?" My friend Suzannah immediately said, "Firefly" "um, what?"
"you've never seen firefly!?!?!??!"
She immediately thrust the series box set into my hands and out the door we went! It took us awhile to start watching it but I must say it's a really enjoyable series. Kyle and I are about 3/4 of the way through the 14 episode series and we are really bummed that it's almost over. I guess it aired on Fox back in 2002 but it was slotted for Friday nights (the "death spot" says Suzannah's husband) and only lasted for one season before the network cancelled it. Since I have now discovered that this series has almost a cult following it's plain to see that cancelling that show was a huge mistake on the part of the network (their loss)
So if you haven't seen firefly I suggest you add it to the netflix queue. If you like the concept of Space Travel & Cowboys together with lots of witty banter thrown into the mix it's guaranteed to please!

Glee
Do you guys watch Glee Tuesday nights on fox? Well I do AND I LOVE IT!!!!!
I saw previews for it over the summer on TV and at first I wrote it off as another High School Musical type thing (don't get me wrong I liked the HSM movies but they were just so....pre-teen I guess. I'm about 10 years too old for that :-). But I decided to TiVO it anyway to check it out and I have been hooked ever since.
It's basically the story of a Glee club that originally is filled with all of the typical High School misfits and outcasts (I mean every stereotype that can exist people, it's in there) but then a member of the football team joins, then some of his buddies join, then some cheerleaders join! (ah if only High School really operated that way.....) There is a VERY healthy rivalry between the Glee Club coach and the Cheerleading coach, (the banter between them is always funny!) and the singing is phenomenal! I mean exceptional, they sing show choir covers of a lot of fantastic songs.
This is one of my favorite songs from last fall (of course I DO LOVE queen anyway...)

It's a really fun show to watch, not quite guilty pleasure level (like something you don't tell your friends you actually watch16 and pregnant); I'd love to talk to you ladies that do watch it and hear what your favorite songs are from the show and who your favorite character is.
I liketo look at Matthew Morrison, who plays do gooder Spanish Teacher/Glee Coach Will Shuester

GREY'S ANATOMY - and LOST
We are heading into September, a month I am quite fond of for several reasons
1) It's my BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!
2) No longer is it tainted by the return to school (at least for now)
3) The return of great prime time T.V.
I have been addicted to Grey's since it first came out in 2005. Even though I should technically despise Grey's and other similar medical shows for their gross misinterpretation of the role of the Doc & Nurse (pretty much 95% of the patient care that the MDs do on Grey's is in reality done by the nurses.) On TV the nursing profession is viewed...well it really isn't viewed at all because the doctors are doing everything! Which is why I am really happy with shows like HawthoRNe that are starting to focus on nursing more and doctors less (I am not sure how I feel about Nurse Jackie) anyway I digress...
Grey's is coming back Sept 24th I AM SO EXCITED!!!!
aw yeah!

I have been meaning to watch LOST for several months now. With my husband gone I figured I had a good excuse to spend excessive amounts of time watching many TV on DVDs that I have been meaning to catch up on.

Well I now understand what the hu-bub is all about. This show really does grab and hold on to you. I am only on disc 3 of season one (I know I know I have a LONG way to go) but I really am enjoying the way the are telling each person's backstory, it makes you very attached to the characters. My favorite so far is Charlie, he is such an underdog and I really am impressed with overcoming his drug addiction. I know that most of you are about 5 seasons ahead of me and are stuffing your hands over your mouth to keep yourself from telling me things, and I appreciate it! I am hoping to get completely caught up by the time kyle gets home. Then I think we will start watching Madmen together!
