My Wedding Album

My Wedding Album came in the mail about two days ago. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

It's 11"x14" and weighs in at around 8 pounds, no joke

It's fantastic, beautifully laid out, and my personal favorite feature is that the photos are printed on this thick chipboard overlined in plastic, on other words, fingerprint proof, waterproof, "sara"-proof!

In other news my lovely wedding photographer, Faith, got engaged over the holidays! Congrats Faith!!!!

Photoshop, I love you

I am in week two of my photography class at BetterPhoto.com and today I bought a tutorial book on Photoshop Elements 7 to get better acquainted with the program. I bought a copy of PE7 on a friends recommendation and as soon as a installed the program and clicked around the full editor interface for about two seconds, my head exploded. That program is jam PACKED with tools to tweak anything and everything, a guide through this abyss of photographic freedom is absolutely essential. I am looking forward to using this program to it's full potential.

Just for example, look at my instant magic wand! (called "healing brush" in PE7)

Wedding Album Proofs

Hey everybody.

So my wedding album proofs got emailed to me from my photographer yesterday (Thanks Faith!) She did such a great job. If I haven't said this already if ANYONE is thinking of getting married in the Newport area you should look into her photography, it's stunning.

I am going to go over it again with my mom when my family gets here on Monday. This is the first run, I think it's 99% of the way there.

Wedding Album Design Picked!

The Friday I was in Rhode Island my mother and law and I went to see my wedding photographer at her studio to pick out my cover art and leather for my wedding album. Since she is nose deep in weddings right now her time for album design is short but I am the next on her list. I am SO excited to see the final product.
Here are some shots of the album design I picked and the leather I chose

**photos taken from My Photographers website **

She is the BEST! Any New England Brides PLEASE check her out. You won't be disappointed!

This is the show album from her studio, the picture I chose for my cover is very similar

The albums are surprisingly heavy and very well constructed, built to last a lifetime!

Cedar Chapel; Sara & Kyle

After the ceremony I put my fur wrap on and braved the cold for some outdoor pictures. I really wanted to take pictures in the Cedar Chapel behind our Sanctuary. If you look at the pictures behind the altar of the church all of those windows face out to all of these cedar trees. We got some amazing pictures out here, it doesn't even look like we are frezzing our butts off!!!

Right here the wind kicked up and blew my veil in Kyle's face

First Kiss!!!!

After we said our vows and exchanged rings, my grandfather pronounced us husband and wife! I love this picture of my grandpa with his hand on our hands. It is a memory that I will cherish forever
"What God has joined together let no one separate!"

You may now kiss the Bride.....
And we're married!!!!!!

After the ceremony we immediately went into my Church's fellowship hall for the Receiving Line. Here are a couple of good shots from Farnum Hall

New Bride and Groom

Me hugging Brian, the best man.
He introduced me and Kyle when we were all 13 years old.
(I was dating Brian at the time ::cough cough::)

My Grandpa Hugging Kyle.....

Me Hugging my good friend from Nursing School, Elise. She moved to NY after Graduation and I moved to CA so needless to say, we don't see each other that often, but we try to talk on the phone every couple of weeks (although I wish it was more) I really miss her a lot, can you tell I am happy to see her?

Me and Mommy!

BIRDSEED!!!!
Originally I didn't think this would even happen considering we did get married in January and it was about 26 degrees outside, but everyone that wanted to pelt us with seeds got to as we ran to the limo, later that night I found birdseed....everywhere....haha
Thanks to my MOH and her Man for stuffing little tool balls of birdseed even the night before,
I LOVE YOU GUYS!

Vows

I Sara, take you Kyle to be my lawfully wedded husband,
my closest friend,
my faithful partner in life,
and my one true love.
On this special day I give you
my sacred promise to stay by your side,
as your faithful wife,
in sickness and in heath,
in joy and in sorrow,
through the good times and the bad.
I Promise to love you without reservation,
comfort you in times of distress,
laugh with you and cry with you,
always be open and honest with you
and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.

I Kyle, take you Sara to be my lawfully wedded wife,
my closest friend,
my faithful partner in life,
and my one true love.
On this special day I give you
my sacred promise to stay by your side,
as your faithful husband,
in sickness and in heath,
in joy and in sorrow,
through the good times and the bad.
I Promise to love you without reservation,
honor and respect you,
provide for your needs as best I can,
comfort you in times of distress,
and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.

Ceremony.....Readings & Declaration of intent

Friends, Sara and Kyle who stand here today about to be married have been created by many things. These things are gifts: The gift of their genetic makeup, the gifts of advice from dear friends, the gift of knowledge from teachers of all sorts, the gift of being shown by example how to be a good human being. And, perhaps the most important gift, although mostly unrecognized, is the gift of time. Spending precious time with someone is the most generous gift of all. Sara and Kyle have been blessed with many people in their lives willing to give the gift of time.

Who are these gift givers? Look around. They are all of you....

The First Reading was from my Uncle Mark, 1 John 4: 7-19

Second was Psalm 145 from our mutual friend and
Kyle's good friend from college, Lauren
Last Reading was from Kyle's family church minister The Rev. McCracken, she read 1 Corinthians 13

I look happy don't I?
