Before and After: Study and Bonus Room

So since our Townhouse is a 3 bedroom and we only really need one at the moment we wanted to make one into a study for Kyle and the other into a bonus room for me (a place to practice and for my desk; I'm actually sitting at the desk now as I type this). I really enjoy spending time in here because the large window looks out over the bay. Right now it's a sunny day and I can start to see tiny buds on the bare tree branches, Spring isn't too far away now! So anyway I digress, onto the photos!

Bonus Room Before...

and now!

It's nice to have my own space in the house to hunker away and play my clarinet or work on my computer. My red cabinet houses all of my music and various clarinet supplies/reeds. Just picture me sitting in that chair for hours playing tedious scales and arpeggios over and over and over and over (well, you get the idea...). The desk towards the back corner of the room is where I like to blog and email. I used to work downstairs in the living room but the TV was always distracting. In here I just have my music and/or books on tape which I find very relaxing. I even like the fact that the walls are somewhat bare. It adds to the creative process or something lol.

Here is Kyle's study before...

And now!

I didn't have much say about the decor in this room but Kyle had enough LEGOs to fill all the shelves and bookcases in here no problem lol. Our kitties enjoy snoozing on Kyle's leather office chair in the evenings when we are downstairs being loud :-). I like that when Kyle is studying I can be loud downstairs without bothering him.

So those are the main rooms all filled up with furniture! Hope you enjoyed the mini tour!!!

Until Next Time I'll be gazing out the window on the bay...
